Description
Donnafugata Sherazade is a Sicilia DOC wine made entirely from Nero d’Avola grapes. It matures for 4 months in tanks and then for at least another 4 months in the bottle.
Sherazade, with its brilliant ruby red color and violet reflections, reveals a fruity bouquet with hints of plum and cherry, accompanied by delicate spicy notes (black pepper) and floral notes of violet. On the palate, the fruity notes pleasantly return; this is a red wine of great softness and excellent freshness. Velvety tannins complete this fragrant and enjoyable wine.
The Winery
Giacomo Rallo, the fourth generation of a family with over 170 years of experience in quality winemaking, founded Donnafugata in 1983 alongside his wife Gabriella, a pioneer of female-led viticulture. Today, their children José and Antonio, together with a team dedicated to excellence, lead a company that represents Made in Italy at its finest.
