Description
Description: An important Grenache, a grape variety typically cultivated on the island, where it takes on the designation of Cannonau, the island’s oenological reference. This complex, typical wine, in the reserve style, refined in wooden barrels, brings to the table the most intense and varietal aromas of this grape variety, highlighted by notes of local aromatic essences.
Characteristics: Fully ripe grapes, slightly wilted on the vine, are promptly pressed and destemmed, fermented at a controlled temperature, not excessively low, to allow for proper extraction of color and “good” tannins. A brief maceration is followed by a long maturation of 2 years in tanks, alternated with approximately 6 months in large old Tonneau barrels. The result is a warm and intense taste, the product of slow wood aging, complex with intense and aromatic notes of the Mediterranean shrubland and red fruits, with a deep garnet-red color.
Origin Vineyard: From carefully selected vineyards in northern Sardinia.
Harvest: After a slight wilting on the vine, manual harvest in crates.
Packaging: Pack of 6 bottles, 0.75 liters each.
Organoleptic notes:
- Appearance: ruby red with violet reflections.
- Nose: elegant and complex, with aromatic notes of wild strawberries and ripe red fruit.
- Palate: well-balanced, good structure, soft and dry.
Pairings: Pairs well with red meats, game, wild boar, game charcuterie, roasts in general, and hearty barbecues. Also favorable with strong and aged cheeses.
