Description
Made from a historic blend of Catarratto, Grillo, and Inzolia—three of Sicily’s most esteemed native white grapes—Mamertino DOC is a sophisticated, mineral-forward white wine.
Grown in the Terrazze Sopra Pino and Bosco vineyards in Patti, Messina, it benefits from a coastal hillside setting, where dry, windy conditions enhance both complexity and freshness. Only 60% of the most delicate juice is gently extracted from hand-harvested grapes, then fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel. After five months of lees aging with batonnage, the wine is further refined with three months in bottle to deepen its aromatic complexity.
With a pale straw yellow hue and golden highlights, it offers delicate citrus, white floral, and Mediterranean herb aromas. The palate is crisp and well-structured, with lively acidity and a long-lasting mineral finish, making it a versatile companion to seafood and light Mediterranean cuisine.
