Description
Made from hand-harvested Glera grapes grown on the hills of Valdobbiadene at 250–350 meters above sea level, Annuale Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut Millesimato DOCG is a polished sparkling wine.
With vines spanning more than 15 years, the vineyards gain from a special terroir made of moraines, sandstones, clay, and limestone, producing a wine with remarkable structure, body, sapidity, and minerality.
Four months of age on fine lees after mild pressing and static decantation, fermentation at a controlled temperature of 15–18°C. Using a 60-day refermentation at 15–17°C, the secondary fermentation follows the Charmat Method, therefore improving its grace and delicacy.
Its pale straw yellow color and delicate perlage expose flowery and fruity smells with traces of green apple, lemon, and white peach. Fresh and mineral, the palate reflects a well-balanced acidity and a clear, residual finish.
Perfect as an aperitif, it complements light appetisers, seafood cuisine, and fresh vegetarian food very well. It is a classy and flexible choice for any occasion.
