Description
The allegorical female figure and protagonist of One Thousand and One Nights, Sherazade, recounts stories of this classic of Oriental literature with a rich fruity voice wrapped in veils of spice. A very Mediterranean label, in pure Donnafugata flair, Sherazade offers a unique tasting sensation.
Description
Made entirely from Nero d’Avola grapes, Donnafugata Sherazade is a Sicilia DOC wine. It develops in stainless steel tanks for four months, followed by at least four months of bottle aging.
Sherazade presents a fruity aroma with hints of plum and cherry, complemented by mild spicy notes of black pepper and delicate violet aromas. With its vivid ruby red hue and violet reflections, it delights the palate with outstanding freshness and suppleness. The finish is smooth and velvety, leaving a lasting aromatic impression.
The Winery
Along with his wife Gabriella, a trailblazer of female-led viticulture, Giacomo Rallo, the fourth generation of a family with more than 170 years of winemaking excellence, founded Donnafugata in 1983. Today, their children José and Antonio continue the legacy, leading a winery that embodies the best of Made in Italy.
Rich in colors and timeless qualities, Donnafugata wines are recognized for their distinctive and artistic labels, which narrate the essence of Sicily through a fanciful, feminine, and identity-driven visual language.
